Farm Life Stories

Farm Life Stories: Share personal anecdotes, family history, and the day-to-day challenges and triumphs of running a farm.

A few years ago, I realized the importance of growing our own food for sustainability and food security. I saw that relying on profit-driven decisions in agriculture, without considering nutrition, environmental impact, or future generations, was problematic. To address this, I joined Urban Harvest and trained in permaculture, a design methodology focused on Earth Care, People Care, and Fair Share. After earning my Permaculture Designer certification in 2020, I used these techniques as a hobby gardener in Spring, TX, achieving impressive results on a small property. My background with tropical trees led me to St. Lucie County, where I’m now excited to apply my knowledge commercially and inspire others to grow their own food, benefiting both the environment and themselves.

Isha Vann is a start-up focused on producing tropical fruits, vegetables, medicinal plants, herbs, and value-added products. Based in Fort Pierce, Florida, our farm is committed to promoting a healthy lifestyle through sustainable and regenerative practices. We’ve chosen Florida for its favorable conditions and market potential in the tropical fruit industry.
In addition to farming, Isha Vann offers educational workshops, farm tours, nursery services, and agro-tourism opportunities. We serve a wide audience, including major U.S. cities and diverse customer groups, using wholesale, retail, and online sales channels.

We recognize local competitors but are driven to excel by leveraging our unique strengths, including our passion for sustainability and community engagement. Our goal is to become a reliable producer and reach out the local community through a robust marketing strategy that includes a strong online presence and social media. We are committed to high ethical standards and fulfilling both environmental and community needs.
